In May 2022, we kicked off the production and display of image thumbnails.
Since that time, thumbnails with the Ancestors logo have disappeared–and are gradually disappearing–to
give way to actual page previews of all records searchable on the Portal.
As of today, an additional 10,281,421 thumbnails are available for the Archives of: Siena, Mantua, Piacenza, Vercelli,
Udine, Vercelli.

Given the volume of usable records and images, the generation of previews will continue in an
incremental and steady manner over time, as has been the case to date.
Recall that clicking on the viewer icon dedicated to window and display thumbnail views
is and will be possible:
View images with the thumbnail gallery (Fig.1) or single page (Fig.2)
enjoy the images by placing the current view side by side with the previews arranged on the right (Fig. 3) or placed on the bottom (Fig. 4)
