On the occasion of 2024, the year of Roots Tourism, a conference will be held on Tuesday 16 April, Turismo delle Radici e Archivi. Criticità: esperienze e proposte per la loro fruizione.
The event is organised by Radici Venete APS, winner for the Veneto region of the PNRR Tourism of Roots call for bids issued by MAECI and sponsored, among others, by Anci Veneto and the first event for Italea Veneto.
Italea is the platform dedicated to Italians abroad and Italian-descendants wishing to reconnect with their origins that makes the journey to discover their roots and family history real and accessible. Italea’s territorial network extends across all Italian regions to inform, welcome and assist root travellers, guaranteeing capillary support along the entire route and helping to organise a tailor-made trip, based on the specific needs and expectations of each individual.
The programme is divided into several sections, which will be followed by greetings from the authorities, including one from Giovanni Maria De Vita, Embassy Counsellor and head of the Tourism of Roots project.
The event will be held at the Sala Consiliare Sant’Artemio, headquarters of the Province of Treviso (Via Cal di Breda 116 – 31100 Treviso), from 9.30 a.m. onwards. Given the national interest in the topic, the entire morning’s proceedings will be streamed live at the following linkhttps://www.youtube.com/@RadiciVenete
