An Italian family in the 1960s and 1970s
The film collection traces some moments in the life of Giovanni Torri, a chemical engineer and photography enthusiast, from the early 1960s to the mid-1970s. In particular, episodes from his youth in Livorno, where he spent his holidays with his parents, and the early years of his family life after his marriage to Maria Adele Conti and the birth of his son Gianmarco, mainly between Milan, Livorno and Pesaro.
Giovanni Torri (Milan, 1946 – Pesaro, 1995) shot all his films in 8mm and Super8 format.
The research and in-depth study was made possible thanks to interviews given in 2020 by his son Gianmarco Torri and his ex-wife Maria Adele Conti.
It is possible to retrace some brief moments of Giovanni Torri’s life through the video edition of the Giovanni Torri film fund created with the Klynt software.
