Treasure hunt in the State Archives of Modena. Documents that tell my story

The State Archives of Modena inaugurate the week of “So many stories in history. Week of didactics and heritage education in the archives” with the presentation of the didactic path “In search of our ancestors”, which has been active for some years now for primary and secondary schools and has been realised in collaboration with the Nonsoloscuola voluntary association and FamilySearch.

The educational project is curated by Maurizio and Daniela Polelli and archivist Margherita Lanzetta and was created with the aim of encouraging dialogue within the family, helping children to build their family tree using information collected from relatives and using a treasure hunt inside the State Archives of Modena.

In the video presentation “Documents that tell my story” we can follow, from the voices of the protagonists, the story of the family history of Giuseppina Borri, born on 24 October 1916 in Vaglio di Lama Mocogno (MO), which re-emerges from the civil status registers.
