On the occasion of 2024, the year of Roots Tourism, the ROOTS-in LAB of the Roots-IN project will be held on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th November.
The project of the International Roots Tourism Exchange organized by the Region and APT – Basilicata Territorial Promotion Agency in collaboration with ENIT – National Tourism Agency and with the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is proposed as a moment of synthesis of the issues on roots tourism and as a facilitator to connect supply and demand at a national level.
The event is based on four pillars: the workshop involving 74 buyers from all over the world and 155 sellers, the stands with offers from public and private bodies, the forum dedicated to Made in Italy and the Labs with around 60 speakers.
Among the talks and seminars scheduled for Nov. 19 is one by Dr. Chiara Veninata – Director of the Central Institute for Archives – dedicated to“Digital Archives and Roots Tourism: preserving and accessing the memory of origins.”
