Italians in Brazil and Italians in Brazil: emigrants, immigrants and Italian descendants

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Italian immigration to Brazil, the Virtual Museum of Italian Immigration in Minas Gerais in collaboration with the Consulate of Italy in Belo Horizonte and the Ponte entre Culturas Association invite to the free online course Italians in Brazil and Italians in Brazil: emigrants, immigrants and Italian descendants.

The inaugural lecture will take place on Wednesday 21 February, the date on which Brazil celebrates National Italian Immigrant Day, and will be delivered by historian Emilio Franzina, considered one of the greatest scholars of the history of Italian emigration to America and Brazil.

The course is free and open to all interested, and will be broadcast every Wednesday at 10am Brazilian time (2pm Italian time), in Italian with simultaneous translation into Portuguese, on the YouTube@muvitmg channel.
