The Cosenza State Archive and the Castrovillari Section hold the Cosenza Province Civil Registry (1809-1865), which includes the marriage processes.
The Conscription Office of Cosenzafund preserves the conscription lists (classes 1842-1949). The fund also contains registers of renitenti (classes 1902-1920), reformed (1874-1914), revisited (classes 1910-1920), and proxy visits (1917-1919).
The Military District of Cosenzafund conserves the matriculation rolls (classes 1842-1944). The records include the rolls of the military district of Cosenza and of the military district of Castrovillari suppressed in 1930.
The Institute has joined the “Portale della storia degli italiani”.
We would like to highlight a file that could be useful for genealogic research: the so-called Catasto onciario (2nd half of the 18th century) held at the Naples State Archive, and which allow us to reconstruct the family books of the residents in Southern Italy, which by that time belong to the Kingdom of Naples.
