On the page From the register to History, we publish the birth certificate of Sabato Martelli Castaldi (1896-1944), skilful pilot and Air Force general, decorated for his merits in the field during the First World War. He later became a partisan, actively contributing to the Resistance. He died in the massacre of the Fosse Ardeatine.
